Rogersville was a good trip.
We were able to help an 88 year old widow whose house had become in disrepair. Our team was able to go in and repair various parts of her home. We jacked up her living room floor, were able to level out her two bedrooms that were slanting because of the sinking floor. We tore down a large room that was in disrepair and that had large amounts of mold in it. We repaired some flashing around her chimney along with part of a ceiling that had a large amount of water damage to the point her ceiling was collapsing. We went in and repaired a large part of her kitchen floor that was very soft and sinking in. We almost remodeled her entire bathroom, giving her a new shower, new flooring, repairing a leaking toilet, replaced an old faucet and repainting the walls. We installed a new water filter to replace an old one that wasn’t filtering out her well water along with repairing a chlorinator to clean the water and kill the bacteria in it. We repaired guttering to the house along with repairing or replacing some old water pipes. We also worked with “Of One Accord Ministries” in Rogersville. We helped in their food pantry, packing food, sorting food, and also delivering food to various homes in the area. They have a program where they drive a large school bus delivering meals to the kids playing at the playgrounds and other places. We helped with their lunches and were able to share the gospel with many of them through the giving of salvation bracelets. We sorted through the ministries clothes and helped them in various other ways. Some went out into the community giving perms to some of the ladies of Rogersville. The family that we helped in Churchill last year even came by and mowed the yard and trimmed tree branches that were overgrown along with hauling off all the garbage!
Thank You to everyone who prayed for us. We were able to get a lot done but most importantly we were able to help a widow that needed help and minister to her by showing her and the people of Rogersville that God is moving in His church.
