Church Hill

We went to Church Hill in June of 2009 to help a family who desperately needed some extra space added on to their house. The Hills were originally a five person family living in a three bedroom house. It was laid upon their heart to adopt four children to keep them from being separated as a family. So the Hill family grew from five to nine. Nine people living in a three bedroom trailer! So there was some much needed expansion. Our team went up for a week and was able to build the Hills two bedrooms onto their existing house. The Lord blessed us with great weather so we were able to get a lot done. We were also able to put siding onto a side room that had been built. While the construction was going on, another part of our team worked at the “Of One Accord Ministries” in Rogersville. Helping in their food pantry along with providing lunch meals to the neighborhood kids on the yellow school bus called “The Lunch Box”. It was a good trip. Friendships were made, bonds were formed and God’s love was shown. A special thanks to McPheeters Bend Missionary Baptist Church who graciously opened up their doors to us and allowed us to stay at their church.
